How close has the app weigh generally been to the certified scale, over or under? Also has the steer been as accurate as the drives and trailer?

    Within a couple hundred lbs.

I don’t have anything on the steers.

I only need a ballpark figure 95% of the time, as I hardly ever load heavy.

Is this the one you have? I just got two and it had the steer axle weight also that is an estimate but supposedly accurate. I plan to install my tractor and trailer tomorrow and I will find out. I have scales already on my drives and trailer but for $150 I thought it was worth it to have a second one especially if it is accurate on my steer.

    Yes that’s it.
Let us know how you get on.

It wants an empty and a loaded scale for calibration.

The batteries are a little short lived, but cheap and easy to change. Install is simple.

I don’t know of any dumptrucks around here that run air-ride, spring only.

If that is the case with you, you can rule out any of the air weigh systems.

Not sure that’s necessarily true, I know someone with a Right Weigh system and he has one on the steer axle (20k spring) and it seems to be accurate.

How you run a air-weigh system on a truck without air ride?

It has some type of sensors, I’m not really sure how it works.

Some of the companies that offer the air weight scales also have load cells to mount on spring ride. Similar technology to the Cat scales
