Don't recall the exit but Gulliver's Travel Plaza off I-77 in Canton, Ohio offers free wifi. Signal is iffy at best out in the parking lot, but solid as a rock in their driver's lounge. Use requires an access code (actually their phone number) that they hand you on a card at the fuel desk simply for asking.

A while back, I use to use Iowa's rest areas free WIFI... Some of the smaller ones had pretty weak signal but it was still usable.

not a truck stop...but it seems to me that alot of hotels have wifi for their customers. However, I don't think many of them pass protect their wireless access. So...if you parked in a hotel parking lot for example, or close by, you might be able to jump on their signal.

Just one of the things I noticed when we moved into our apartment complex and were too cheap for a few months to pay for internet, lol.

Please alphabetical order, update and condense. Rumoris air cards through cell phone companies are capping even unlimited customers to 5 gb,and droppingpeople yet continuing to bill. I see a lawsuit, coming. If u are interested google air card complaints

My Verizon air card is limited to 5gig. But I have never gotten much over 1. Unless you do streaming video, or something like that, a 5 gig limit is more than most users could use in a month. I was kind'a concerned about it when I heard it was coming, but once I started paying attention to my usage, it wasn't that big of a deal.
