I see that Publix is 2-3 years away from opening a DC in North Carolina.. Does Publix hire on drivers from the street when they first open a NEW DC? Does anyone know how they handled that when they opened their Atlanta DC. Would be an amazing opportunity to get on with one of the top Supermarket haulers

I see Ruan advertising alot for drivers to work out of the Dacula/Lawrenceville DC. I thought Publix only hired from within, so whats going on?

I know Ruan is running for publix in North Carolina until the new Greensboro DC is built.. maybe they need Ruan drivers to shuttle to Ruans drop yard in NC

I don’t think Publix can keep up so ruan is helping

Every employee of Publix that are truck drivers are "local" and go home to their beds at the end of their shift. The Ruan and Max Trucking drivers take on the longer hauls

Ruan operates the Publix drop yard in Marianna Florida. They too are hiring.

Go to a truck driving school in your area and talk to them about getting your CDL. These schools have an affiliation with all types of government grants to pay for your class. They’ll even do all of the paperwork for you; all you have to do is simply show up. Very likely that the entire school would be 100% free for you and there is nothing to ‘pay back’, as long as you continue employment with any trucking company of your choice for one full year. -
FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
