I'm in the same boat as your are, single etc. Just less experience, going on 6 months. I agree about the communication but it is what it is. I just plan on it. I only contact after hours dispatch if there is an impending issue that will cost the company $$$$ or unexpected tcheck (which doesn't happen often), carry cash for emergency needs, will be reimbursed. Plan on a delayed response. Sometimes it's hard to get reply's to other questions, non emergency. I just stay persistent and move up the chain of command if after a few attempts no reply. Sooner or later I get an answer. All in all I am quite pleased with Magnum.

Com is the good and bad of the company. They leave you alone is the good. The bad is getting ahold of someone at times.

Try the 800 number during the day, somebody will pick up. At night or weekend, you're pretty much on your own. Should have tcheck lined up beforehand.

Once you get used to how they operate, it's amazing how many things can wait. Do your best, then go back to bed.

    S: High Wind Warning
I-25 is closed from Wellington north. Hwy 287 closed Ted's Place to WY line. Hwy 85 in Weld is closed from Nunn to WY border. All due to high winds and whiteout conditions.

is anyone else sick of winter already? I am on the other end of this storm in MN and as I shut down in Albert Lea last night a quick couple inches of wet snow/sleet pounded they side of my truck. Starting to feel like Jim Cantore... I keep getting sent to where the storm is hitting

Start your own you tube channel, get 100k views per month and make a cool 5 grand.
Sit in a puddle, put someone in a canoe next to you and claim you are reporting from a flood, if you really want add drama to it put an industrial sized fan to the side creating a hurricane.
