Lighten up ... my god the driver needs to learn how to deal with this crap, most don't get that you don't leave without confirming what's being put on the truck or at least scaling.
As for the score, don't worry about it, I don't think it would matter, just take steps to prevent it going forward.
If you make an investment in on board scales, get a good one.

If you took over driving the load from another driver who for what ever reasons did not weight it including the axle weights, than the fault continues to you.
Sand is dense is it is going to be heavy.
probably would load 2,1,2,1,22 type pattern to axle out. just a guess from lot's of loads.pavrom Thanks this. -
We have a company policy, scale anything over 30k so we can adjust tandems accordingly. Company pays for it. Policy saved me from going down the road with a GVW of 84k once, and proved to me that I suck at estimating where to set my tandems more times than I care to admit.

12 bucks is a cheap alternative. I have wanted to skip it before on loads I thought I knew, and was very glad to be able to send the ticket to CAT, and if there wrong they do pay you back.

Overweights were taken off the CSA 'score' list years ago.

Get a pressure gauge on your tractor and another on your trailer. Scale a few times loaded. Then you'll have a good idea of gross, axle group weight.
Install a "T" in your air spring supply after the height control valve or between the bags.
Eat the first overweight ticket, the driver should have known to scale.
Never go by the bol weight. Unless it was Scaled during loading.
Good luckAttached Files:
