As long as they put the names of front office personnel up when they screw up .... I’m fine with it.

Way to snip off the part where I say that I unload pretty much every day but whatever. And honestly I would have zero issue with the guy I pull for doing this. We’re not a starter company, we’re probably 90% owner operator, and we have nice trucks and new trailers. In the year I’ve been here we haven’t had any screw ups. When we mess up things get expensive so it’s in our best interest to do things right.

If you have a lapse in judgement and blow into the wrong tank guess who gets to pay for the vac truck and a couple loads of product?

If you break down or get put out of service guess who has to pay if a plant runs out of product and has to shut down?

See how it’s in my best interest to crawl under my truck 4/5/6 times a week depending on how many loads I haul? We don’t have the luxury of it gets there when it gets there like many people do.

And since you don’t think I crawl under my truck am I supposed to believe that you’re in the 1% when you say that 99% won’t pass a full inspection? Or are you admitting to not inspecting your own truck? I know what I drive, and I know what shape it’s in, and I don’t get butterflies if I’m told to pull around back.

I like it, but I also liked the old days when every police ticket issued was published in the newspaper in my grandparents hometown. While we’re at it, I miss the days when you could whoop your children in Walmart. By the way, it’s not public shaming, you brought it there

Good point...That's still done where I live in a County of less than 4000 people (only 400 in my town).

Don't pay your property taxes on time and you're in the local newspaper too.

Why would you choose to work for (two men cuddling)? They act like they are top company in the world and you have to get their name tattooed on your chest to be considered for being hired. They are just like the swift of flatbed. I told the a recruiter I wasn't the slightest interested.

I don’t let people mistreat me. Won’t be swore at. If I made a mistake and my employer posted it for all to see I’d be pissed. You want me to be a professional while at work then you need to treat me as such. Would be very surprise if this doesn’t backfire on them.

I didn’t mean to misquote you, but you do realize that the inspection is not when I get unloaded, right? So at the end of the day, you log an inspection and don’t do it right there and there? But you’re here complaining about other drivers not doing their jobs correctly and if they get in trouble then it’s okay for companies to publicly shame them among the employees of their company? Yeah.

I log my inspection when I do it. On any given day there’s 50 to sometimes 90 minutes of on duty time where I will log “offload/vehicle inspection”. In the morning I check the fluids, tires, lights, and the other minor stuff that amounts to about 12 minutes of on duty time before I leave. If I’m off duty on an ag load then it gets logged as such until I’m out of the radius, and if I happen to sleep in the radius then no pretrip gets logged and if I’m unloading an ag load then obviously my logs won’t show any on duty time for an inspection but it still gets done. So is there anything else you’d like to ask me about to make sure I’m doing it correctly? Also interesting how you didn’t address anything in my reply to you other than trying to find a way that I’m not logging correct.

It was bound to happen. Companies are getting fed up with the subpar performance of their drivers and have opted for Elizabethan style discipline.:D
