Just passed my test yesterday at KLLM in Lancaster. On to orientation and waiting for the trainer. First week there I thought there is no way I'll be ready to test in 18 days. Come time to test I knew I'd pass. I experienced a well thought out curriculum and competent instructors. All I had to do was do the work. Next I'll be with the trainer for 6 weeks then my own truck. Maybe, after a few years I'll check in to becoming a trainer. Right now just taking a couple days off before making lists of things to get and plans to make.

Thank you, to all y'all who have shared on this forum and with me directly. The information here is pure gold.

Only FFE is offered. I suppose I could request it but, I've not seen what is offered at KLLM. I've heard others talk about going to KLLM but didn't pay attention because I was focused on getting my CDL.

Remember the 6 weeks with the trainer is one of the toughest times. After your finish that, you will get your own truck and move to bottom bunk. That's when the adventure really begins.

I may have misheard but, it may be that the trainee gets the lower bunk. I could be wrong but, I sure hope I'm right.

    No. Rookie goes up top.

Farts are heated air and they rise like smoke.
