I'd stay as long as I can .. Even with your "pay cut" you're still making $40 per hour
Where the heck else could you find that type of pay for Mon-Fri 40 hours ?
Currently making $116,000 a yr locally at small company, but they are reducing pay

pay. I would stick for awhile...….save a little back for a rainy day...….keep your options
open. Keep your driving record clean...…
I have jumped ship for better money several times over the years......never really
works out. To me a decent company with a decent boss is more important than earning
top pay.bzinger, Coffey, truckdriver31 and 2 others Thank this. -
Something about this smells like fish. Go on and post the company name and, or your pay stubs .

Check this company in Atlanta; trains drivers for their type of hauling. Something to consider if your current company goes under.

Sounds to me more like this guy values his employees. Unless i misunderstood he wasn’t letting any one go, just cutting pay during the hard times. Back during the 08-09 recessions lost of companies did this, the bad ones let folks go.
If frieght was good right now I would be concerned.bzinger, OldeSkool and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
this has been on my mind all day. does anyone else call bs on this story. m-f weekends off. 8 hour days. live loads in atl. 116k a year. i mean really. its the perfect job.

I prefer to consider the problem of the sad whiner discontended with just 116000 dollars per year. IF thats not enough in holalanta then nothing will be enough.
The one right thing I did in my life is get the hell out of Maryland. Half million dollar homes everywhere requiring 50.00 a hour jobs that no one has in those days.
Here in the south you could argue I had a half million dollar home and lands for a while. But because this is the south the prices are VERY VERY low. My pa cries when he is experiencing 400 dollar electricity. We are burning the same kilowatt here for 40 a month.buddyd157, dwells40 and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
