Speaking from experience on their broker side of the house, (if it's the same keen... Pretty sure it is) they had me deadhead from Phoenix to Vegas to pickup an excavator. When I got to the yard in Vegas they told me that's a new model and we don't have one yet... dealer made some calls. Hey that machine your after is in phoenix. Are you kidding me?! Just came from Phoenix. Long story short Keen said to head back to phoenix and they would make it right. They bought the fuel and adjusted the rate nicely.
Another Canadian driver and macavoy Thank this. -
We have something like 500 pieces of equipment. Stuff gets lost all the time. When you have operators who drive equipment from one job to another, or truck drivers that suck at doing paperwork or people in the office who can't read the trucker's writing equipment guest misplaced quite a bit.
Most companies will make it right and adjust the rate accordingly at least that's how it's been in my experience.
At least once or twice a month I'm sent to the wrong location.Another Canadian driver and passingthru69 Thank this. -

But I live in an unsuppressed market where my rollback was making $200k+ a year.
Now I know why the owner loved me, he should have offered me 30% to stay in the rollback but I was green and just seen the glory of a lowboy if I kept moving up.
Now I'll take my 80k in a rollback to not have to get raped at the truck stops on the rare days when my wife doesn't pack me a home cooked meal for lunch.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Keen Transport is a good Company. Between their yards, the Customers, and the ports, trust me you'll get plenty of action regarding earth moving, mining, and road construction equipment. In many cases, you the Driver, must load the equipment you'll be transporting, which makes it fun and interesting. As long as you do it clean ( i.e. be on time, no nuisance damage claims, etc.), and maintain a consistent line of communication with the office personnel, you should have no problem advancing, especially as you gain more knowledge and experience. It's healthy I think, to treat this Profession as a "work in progress "; never stop learning and have fun with it. Good luck, my friend.
