What was orientation like for you guys, what did you do and how long did it take?
Also how do you guys split up your drive time?
Do you drive 10 and 10 or slip it a different way?
How do you manage time not driving?

Most weekends we just chill. I'll wake up early and do our grocery shopping. We get our laundry caught up. We'll go see a movie or go out to eat. We only get Sunday and Mondays off. Our weekends as of late have been going to Disney with our granddaughter every other week. We got season passes. Its hectic but heres how we do it. During the week we pack our bag for 2 changes of clothes. We put it in the car the last load we turn. When we get back to the yard at midnight we head straight to Orlando in our SUV. Its 6 hr drive to Orlando. I drive it since wife drives last leg of our run and I sleep. She sleeps on way there. My daughter meets us at our hotel in the morning with our granddaughter. We spend whole day at Disney and next day until 4pm. Daughter meets us and gets her daughter. Daughter likes it because it gives her a break from her 3 year old and we love spending time with our only grandchild. We drive back to yard and I hook up load and go to bed in sleeper. Wife goes home and does laundry. Comes back to truck and drives 4 hrs while I comtinue to sleep.

Also you may have to switch out your truck in middle of the week. We had to last week after we hit a dog and it knocked out our cruise control. The radar on the bumper. You drop from 72 with cruise on to 66 so we switched into our loaner sleeper at our terminal. Most terminals keep extra sleeper trucks. We keep everything in containers so it takes us 30 minutes tops to switch out. Sometines you have to switch on interstate after a tow truck brings a loaner out. We keep a fitted sheet on our matress topper. Just roll it up and lay on next sleeper matress.

How did you guys end up with the bid run?
We're running wild now and would like a dedicated if possible. -
They posted 3. Signed and got. Guess no 1 wanted cause Northwest and snow lol -
I guess even in the land of milk&honey things get slow.
We got deadheaded back to our terminal and are sitting at home. Apparently "all" teams are sitting.
I'm not even complaining. Running wild @ 6000 miles a week,, week after week after week was getting old.
Anybody take a break from time to time? Will they even let you? -
Where you out of? -
