That’s not a part of the point I’m trying to make about carriers and the CPM claims they throw out there. I’m trying to say that if they operate on a sliding pay scale and brag about “new drivers earn up to 50 cpm”, don’t expect to work a week there, drive 3,000 miles, and be paid 50 cpm on all those miles

Just to give everyone an idea of how much CPM truly means on job adds...

I left my 40 CPM + excellent bonuses job at Danny Herman to take a 60 CPM and home every weekend job at Universal.

I sure was home every weekend.

And most Mondays. And some Tuesdays and Fridays.

Then I went back to DHT where I knew I could make 70k.

One company offered me a dedicated route, 12-14hrs a day, steady freight, $1300/week, $90 every time I unload the trailer, $16 for every stop I make during my route... the numbers seem to good to be true for an inexperienced driver. I really hope they're not pulling my chain here because I am 90% that I will be working for them by the end of the day. Do these seem like legit numbers for an inexperienced driver or are they messing with me? And, can companies even lie to you about pay? Is that even legal? lol... idk, i'm new!!

Is this still accurate? Is this the company you're with now?

You want reefer most likely to drive coast to coast. Just get your experience on the big roads in all seasons.
Try Holland Enterprise, or Grand Island Express, or Moorehouse.
I know there are more but I only listed carriers that go to the Rockies and West coast just because you will love it or hate it playing in the mountains.
