I have a OnePlus 6t from T-Mo...it has been an o.k. phone until the merger between T-Mo and Sprint was approved by the feds, then my service started to suck. Now, with the latest OTA update, OnePlus forced a feature called Zen Mode onto my phone. Even with this stupid app not activated, it beeps you like a txt message when you are using your phone over 2 hours. Which would be o.k. except...it sees my app Night Clock as using my phone (Night Clock is an app that turns your phone into an old school digital clock at night). It also gives you a beep when you're using a music streaming app like Slacker for over 2 plus hours. If it were activated, it would freeze your phone except phone calls for 20 min, without it being activated, it just beeps you every 2 hours to put down your phone...which sucks at night when you're trying to sleep. The 'force stop' doesn't work when you go into the apps setting, and there is no way to disable it. AVOID OnePlus all together. All their phones from the 6 on up get this forced onto it and there is no way to remove it.
OnePlus adds 'Zen Mode' to latest OTA...without your permission

As to your actual issue.
Make sure you disable all the zen mode options. You might also try to downgrade to the previous version that didn't have zen mode.Last edited: Feb 26, 2020

Agreed. I think he was just suggesting to be a bit polite to someone who made an honest error.

I apologize...I tend to be a sarcastic ####### most of the time.

How to turn off Zen Mode? - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com
To get rid of it all together
adb shell pm disable-user com.oneplus.brickmode
That's the line which removes Zen mode completely from your phone.
You have to spend some time learning how to remove packages with ADB. It sounds like some complicated stuff, but it's not really.
I use it all the time to remove bloatware on my Samsung phones -
When it comes to technology, especially if you aren't INTO technology, it gets very frustrating.theSoz Thanks this. -
