They consider that to be the "B" seat position. The last 20,000 miles of their 30,000 trainer requirement, they let you drive as a "team" meaning, yes student is driving his shift solo, while driver trainer sleeps for his shift.
Just a cautionary tale about Wilson Logistics....

Many companies ask if your license has been suspended for any reason. I think some companies pass on drivers depending on the reason. I had a ticket that I hadn't taken care of so I discovered that my license was suspended at the Knoxville weigh station. A license suspension doesn't necessarily disqualify a potential applicant, but I've noticed that question being asked on applications over the years.

That's messed up dropping you last minute.....
Lonesome and natedogg323 Thank this. -
More like a cautionary tale about giving too advanced a notice for quitting the current gig...jk
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Any way to get the old job back ?
is your regular DL suspended or just the CDL portion ? -

There is one glaring inaccuracy in your post though-
Michigan has always been like Nazi's or THE COMMUNIST STATE. They've just waited for the opportunity to show their true colors. -

After wilson cleared you is there a very short time window to start with them ?
After wilson cleared you could you not have waited two or three weeks to start there?
What I’ve done in the past is take two weeks vacation and start the new job, make sure things are seeming to work out, then contact the place I’m on vacation from and tell them I won’t be back.scottied67, tlalokay and rachi Thank this. -
First lesson- there is no "notice" in trucking.
Seriously, though. Always wait until you're cleared with the new gig and have a legit offer in hand. Take days off from the old gig if you have to for orientation at the new gig. Tell the new gig what date you're available after getting an offer of employment. A week's notice at the old gig and the new one waiting that long is more than enough all around.
Second lesson- CYOA always...natedogg323 Thanks this.
