Carlisle PA to Youngstown oh with hazmat. Is the 322 a good road to take since 76 is expensive and has tunnels?

Yes, 322 to 99 and then to i80. Just don't stay on it past 99, not worth it

Going west/North on US 322 is Seven Mountains Grade. 8% about 5 miles up. Curves etc. Once over the top it's a relatively easy ride until State College to I-80 a little bit of maneuvering.
US 322 is at US 15 Duncannon Then west.

Or is 81 to 22 to 322 better? Than 74?

I travel 322 to I-80 frequently as Dune-T says stay on 322-99-80

322 is a good ride. In my opinion, I80 to I99 to 322 is a much nicer ride than the I76 turnpike but I know a lot of people on here disagree with me on that. I take 322 every chance I get
