I have a 2018 Peterbilt 579 and recently it was blowing fuses for the left turn signal on the trailer.
The fuse for this, strangely enough, is in the fuse box on the firewall of the tractor.
For several days, I thought it was in the trailer and had it looked at several times.
Finally, it quit working altogether and it has no power at the fuse box or the trailer cord. I traced it from the rear up to where the DEF tank is located and it's also with no power.
I'm assuming it's a completely broken circuit at this point and I'm sure it's in between where the DEF tank is and the fuse box on the firewall.
I've never seen anything quite like this before.
Does anyone here have experience with this sort of thing? Any ideas?
It's looking like I'll have to go to Peterbilt unfortunately.
Thank you
No power to left turn signal on trailer or at fuse box on tractor.

Probably yes on the dealer.
A little different model but one here had a bad control module. It is mounted on the drivers side frame rail behind the transmission. If spsaucerland and or GoodySnap come along they probably have better information. Module cost about $900 which would be an expensive pot shot without having everything tested first.Edjahman Thanks this. -
OK thank you.
Obviously I'm out of service and I guess I'll go to Peterbilt in the morning. -

If you need a wiring diagram please post last six of VIN.

Tail lights on truck especially after winter running are a problem spot for me!

Thank you for offering. Peterbilt is tearing the harness apart because they can't find it so I'm really boned.
Yeah happy Monday.
Thank you for your reply!Deere hunter and spsauerland Thank this. -
It was in the harness around the transmission. Wiring rubbing together.
It cost a ton of labor to finally find it.
Can't drive around with no left turn signal on the trailer though lol.
Thank you for your reply!BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
Wiring is always so labor-intensive but sure glad to hear you got it fixed and back on the road happy trails!!!
Edjahman Thanks this.
