Hello Brothers and Sisters,
Have any of you seen an increase for the demand of trucking? Of so, in what sector?
Has anyone heard of the possibility of relaxing hours of operation?
Thanks in advance!
Be safe and God bless!

The way grocery store shelves are being picked bare I’m quite sure the trucking demand will increase~don’t think you’ll see a train backing up to a dock

Broker's and shippers still at the same sorry rates that have been for the past 4 months.
I'm going home and watch Netflixdosgatos, gerardo1961, feldsforever and 3 others Thank this. -
Amazon loads should be picking up. They are shipping more then normal for this time of the year due to the virus.

Well demand has certainly increased but it means nothing if the rates dont follow. Heard some guys talk about 5 dollar a mile and up but its just lunch counter talk at this point. And even then is that worth it ?
Coffey Thanks this. -
Come on. You guys really think the HOS restrictions that were removed was anything other than to keep rates down?
It's 100% designed to keep the over capacity of drivers status quo. After all, if the driver can work more, then the rates stay low as drivers looking for a load race to the bottom to pull that crud paying load. -
Deliveries of food and medicine are up but bars, restaurants, dry goods (except cleaning supplies; guns and ammo) are dropping dramatically. #####es be too busy hoarding TP to buy shoes!
Sadly, while having a CDL isn't one of the risk factors for death it may as well be - over 50, obesity and high blood pressure are all high risk. Expect the Wuflu to tear through the driver population like a buzzsaw with death rates much higher than the general population. If and when things get back to normal expect an actual driver shortage with rates to match.Coffey, HoneyBadger67 and Moon_beam Thank this. -
Rates are heading up here on the west coast. I just looked at DAT and seeing a lot of $2.00 to 3.00 per mile loads. Brokers are actually posting rates on load listings because they have to compete for the limited number of trucks. Kind of nice to see for a change.
rollin coal and RubyEagle Thank this. -
Just checked DAT. CRE posted load for $.86 Is this rate after heading up or before.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
