Let's see, i saw A.D. pyle and a lots of dumptrucks today. Along with 3 small or independent truckloads delivering to a paper supplier that i also delivered to.
Really not seeing the larger truckloads out there on the roads.
Garbage and rolloffs are still going as normal.....
Not seeing too many other LTL's except one fedex yesterday, but it was a straight truck.
How’s the LTL sector doing where you’re at?

I'll make it simple. The sectors most secured are the ones that the government can't shut down under any circumstances. Groceries, trash, infrastructure, medical, and hopefully liquor stores. And yes, in SC liquor stores are "essential" because they are providing a product that would aid as a "coping mechanism".
Speaking of essentials. Last week I had a residential that ordered a f###### wine rack. A f###### wine rack. I REFUSED to deliver it. Not because I was short on time or I didn't think I could fit a 53 foot trailer in her neighborhood, but purely out of principle. Everyone is social distancing and I refuse to deliver something stupid like that.
The last three weeks have been a long game of Jenga. Everyday the government is pulling out another block. I feel like we are running out of blocks here soon.MACK E-6, BigDog Trucker and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
So, i guess the second part of my question is: Which jobs, both driving and NOT driving, will be the last standing?
We should still discuss ALL jobs that are still available because we still have SOME time before implosion.road_runner and Western flyer Thank this. -
It's not going to implode. It's a hiccup. We went through this with the Y2K non event. If you get laid off take advantage of the revamped unemployment and stop adding fuel to the fire. These governors yelled fire in a crowded theater. The basics haven't changed. The herd will figure that out soon enough and it will blow over. We loose tens of thousands of people a year in traffic accidents and society accepts that level of death so the economy moves. This hasn't and won't reach that point.

I haul corrosive chemicals. We deliver to food production places, water treatment plants, breweries, concrete batch plants, things of that nature. If we get shut down then I’ll truly start to worry
