Here in the Denver area, especially in Commerce City, there are several Mexican dirt hauling companies that own huge yards and rent out spaces to drivers, not sure what they charge, but it must be reasonable, drive by every weekend and the yards are full, not uncommon to drive by during the week about 3 am on a weekday morning and see most of the tractor trailers gone, and only the dumps and mixers still sitting parked.
Studebaker Hawk and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
My father owned a few rather large strip malls, one of them managed by me back in the day. Long before my interest in trucking.
You let one truck park and the next thing you have 5 trucks.
Next you have owners wrenching in your parking lot and creating damage from oil , hydraulic fluid and fuel spills to the asphalt .
Paying tenants up your butt about the trucks.
Old saying. Give an inch they take a Mile.kylefitzy, Studebaker Hawk, Kyle G. and 2 others Thank this. -
