I have a 99 N14 we put into a 2007 International 9400. an about 8K miles and this morning it developed a miss. So I am thinking injectors, but my driver said its only missing on the pedal. When on cruise, it doesn't do that. Anyone else have an issue like that or a suggestion?

i myself am a parts changer. Last time i had a pedal problem likethat was 3 years ago in my 02 pete. peterbilt wanted 900 for a new pedal. Found the same exact thing bran new on ebay for 250. yanked the old one, plugged the new one in and away i went. problem fixed.

Why didn't you replace the actuator under the pedal, or can't you on that year Pete? and did your truck not miss using the cruise?

Well a lot of people will tell you that replacing just the tps doesn’t always fix the problem. I have no idea why. I just went ahead and replaced the whole unit so I wasn’t scratching my head if it didn’t work. Yeah my peddle was doing all kinda of weird junk. Was also being delayed with response sometimes over 1 second. Was acting erratically but cruise control was fine.

Depending on price, it might be more beneficial to you to swap out the actuator. Get the part number and see what you can find on the internets

I’d second the parts change - the next step is cylinder cut out test.
If it’s on pedal not cruise - @Chubby Fly ‘s solution at least eliminates a part that will fail later anyway.

Is it a miss or hesitation. Being it doesnt do it on cruise per the driver. I would hook up even a old prolink. Watch TPS %
This is just for a example, so as you push the pedal down slowly. You see percent rise, but stops at 21%. You keep pushing pedal and now your at 45%. That jump is the spot that is worn out in the TPS. When it drops. It is a voltage loss to ecm which brings it back to the 21%.
Or check temps on exhaust manifolds at cold start. -
