Oh, as an aside,
Be careful when working with Teak. If you'll look closely you'll see little 'sparkles' in it.
That's sand. It comes from growing on the beach and throughout the tree's life, it's blown into it.
It will ruin a normal saw blade quickly.
Jus sayin
What if it Snows?

Well.
I guess the dog needed to make a small ditch that goes nowhere right at the end of the porch.
You can imagine who found the hole.
So, there I go, someone talking to me and it sounded like Charlie Brown’s teacher.
“Wah wah wah..”
You know you got to turn and say, “What did you...” then you find this unexpectedly
Then they say, “I said Watch out.” -

Just me and my partner who could climb a tree quicker than a monkey and a pickup-truck pulling a dump trailer with a 4-6 chainsaws and climbing rope
One week we took down a banyon tree that was 6 feet across for 20 feet up and the rest of the 60 feet towered over the house
We thought we hit pay dirt when they bit on our $5000 quote to take it down.
Every branch was 18 inches across and weighed 40 pounds for every foot of it.
After 3 days we had all the branches dropped and our dump fees were eating us alive.
I had a big old Homelite from 1970 that I had just rebuilt and put a 60 inch bar on it to cut the trunk
It was like trying to cut steel. The trunk drank so much water it took the sand right up with it
It would dull the chains in 5 minutes
Took 4 more days to get the trunk in small enough pieces that our 6 thousand pound load limit on our dump trailer wasn’t over.
I think we made about $4 an hour after dump fees , chainsaw blades gas and the ticket we got for illegal dumping but that’s another story.Last edited: Jun 24, 2020
