I just missed getting inspected in Southeast Ohio this morning. I needed to stop at a rest stop and saw the DOT officer inspecting a truck at the near end of the parking lot. I parked at the far end (the other spots were full), took care of business and took off. He'd made his way to the far end by the time I made it to the highway and wasn't inspecting anyone else, glad I got out in time.

 

Yeah real pain in the a$& finding a rest area to pull into in Ohio and NY that doesn't have DOT in it during the day. They should not be allowed to troll in them for random inspections since it is a safe haven. And it does not take much to find some Mickey Mouse violation.

 

Well I just learned something kind of sad. The Huddle House in Blakeley, GA on US27, the one with all the truck parking, has closed. They're still allowing us to park here for now, though but ugh I was wanting some Huddle House.

 

That's too bad. I've stopped there before but not in ages. Have been in that neck if the woods in quite awhile.

 

Do you guys know if the Menards in Terre Haute is drop n hook? I’m reading the reviews for live unloading and it sounds like it sucks. Transflo says it’s not a live unload so I’m hoping it’s right..

 

We have one dropped trailer there. If you're lucky and it's empty when you get there, you get to drop and hook. Otherwise say goodbye to your clock for the day.

It’s funny, when I dread going somewhere it works out great. When I don’t mind going somewhere it’s awful lol. They had 2 empties. Thank god.

 

Anyone know M and W whse in Atlanta? Off 20 where’s the shipping office can’t see it on google map street.

 

If it is the place I'm thinking of pull into the 2nd driveway and turn hard right off to the side. Shipping office will be to your left approx mid building.
