I been thinking lately, of the changing times.

I always hung out with people alot older than me, and I look older than I am.
People think I’m late 40s early 50s..
and as I’ve said I started driving a truck at 17, and on my 18th birthday, I got my CDL.
All the ‘old timers’ took me and trained me, anyways.

I can now say this, cause the owner of the liquor store is deceased..
On my 21st birthday, I went in there and loaded up,I mean I bought some liquor, I was going to celebrate, it was party time!!
The guy, asked me, what’s the special occasion, and I told him, I was 21!!
He looked at me and said, “You’re kiddin’ me right?!”
I told him, no, and showed him my ID.
He looked at me with horror and said, “OMG!!! I’ve sold you alcohol for the last 5 years!!”
I was seeing a woman who was 27 when I was 17..

Nowadays, if that happened, they’d lock the guy up for not checking ID.
They’d lock the woman up for life, and ruin her life.
I can’t understand, people think hours mean something on your age.
Even when it was 18, you can’t buy this until this date, and this time!

Maybe I wasn’t meant to understand, but on tv you see 17 year olds with teachers who may only be 20-21, and people go crazy.
At 17 I had a full time job, 18, was buying a place.
I don’t understand why, it didn’t effect their life in the least.
Maybe I’m just to hard on people..
but they’ll just need to put their gag.. I mean mask, sorry, on until they need to grumble about something worthwhile..

When I was 17 there was a place in orlando that thought I was 19. So grandfathered me into t getting booze when FL went 21. LA was one of the last places to go 21. Too much money in th 1/4 from 18.
