I’m having morning coffee. Watching Walton’s on roku. Thought it would be a nice refreshing blast from the past. Instead the Neighbors are divorcing, the younger boys are working at a bar room, Mary Ellen’s taking amphetamines to pass her Nursing Test. Not the Walton's I remember.
What if it Snows?

Arkansas finally raised speed limit on interstate highways, was a sign earlier
75 Cars/70 Trucks.
In 2006 they did a study at University of Arkansas Fayetteville and they determined split speed limits were unsafe.
Now we need a new multimillion dollar study since there’s more traffic.D.Tibbitt, Sirscrapntruckalot, Dave_in_AZ and 5 others Thank this. -

I'm 2nd in line for a live wash. Only the third one I've had to do in two years.
This morning, they didn't send my work to my PeopleNet, and after 4 calls in 20 min trying to get night dispatch, I just said effit and ran the first load.
Still kinda pissed.
I think it's time to take vacation.
I cleared Hurdle #3 on that wrenching job I applied for: Phone Interview. I think it went pretty well. Next week is Hurdle #4: Mechanical Aptitude written test.
I'm guardedly optimistic, but there's still a few hurdles I could trip over. Hey, I already have a job. If we get to the point we're talking dollars per hour, and they match the number I have in mind, then I'm off the road.
Lotta ifs.....D.Tibbitt, Dale thompson, InTooDeep and 8 others Thank this. -
Delivered today and then high tailed it 200 miles to stage for my next load. I had about 20 hours to kill so I ran to the grocery store and got some real food. So stoked. I also found a place to fix my a little spider crack I got in my windshield. I’ll be heading towards California tomorrow, and the OM already has me booked out another week. It’s good to work for the OM.

Well...
Freightliner said we could make a deal, tires, not caps will be put on, I’ll pay for Swapping & remounting, but not the tires.
Plus get $1000 credit for the recaps, so basically that’s the remounting them.
42 more months of ones life at $1119/month for a 2016 Cascadia Evolution with 1 year/100k warranty on all mechanical parts from engine, transmission, rears and def system, and going to get new def filters before I take possession either Friday or Monday.
That’s the price including the warranty ($7800) but the filters were included and that was a little over $2000 plus tax and court cost(just to see if you were really reading and interested)D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair, InTooDeep and 11 others Thank this. -
Well I thought since the day was only 80F. Maybe I should work on the tractor. LOL
Thought and reality are two different things. Back last winter I bought a complete gasket kit for my engine. Everything was fitting perfectly.
At least it was until I was ready to put the cylinder head on. Yup, the head gasket is for a smaller perkins.
Another $20 to get one priority mail out of Louisiana. Someday this will get done.D.Tibbitt, Dale thompson, Rideandrepair and 8 others Thank this. -
