One less fool trying to beat a speeding train across the tracks. Feels sorry for the family, not for the driver whom thought he could make it. The train hit his front axle.

One empty car- ~25 tons
One Loaded car- ~100 tons
Train- ~5000 - 20,000 tons, coal trains usually in the 13,000 ton range

that train was not moving at breakneck speed with all those coal cars. heck, we have all seen how slow those trains are.

but that would not explain if whether or not he heard any train horns?
