I didn't realize there was a 30 minute time limit for the showers. I've never seen that posted anywhere. Did I miss something? Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Seriously.
As for the rest, I am a firm believer in raising the standards for so-called professional drivers. I have no issue with weeding out bottom-feeders and blatant idiots. I am on a personal crusade to have the Dept. of Labor reclassify commercial drivers to "skilled labor." I believe this is the first step in being able to establish higher standards for drivers and rid ourselves of those who do our reputation harm.
Most of the hate towards our profession is self-earned. The only way to change that rep is starting with the drivers themselves. It takes conscientious drivers who believe in holding themselves above the level of filth to start the change. Wouldn't it be great if this whole issue of parking in fuel lanes was a non-issue because professional drivers held themselves to professional standards? -
It is a non issue for me. If it takes me longer than 15 total minutes to fuel, get a receipt and leave a wiz,I can’t remember when?
Maybe where I fuel or when? of course I’m selective what line I pull into when I arrive? -
If I owned a truck stop, I would buy a wrecker to keep parked by the pumps. If anybody parked at the pump when people were waiting for fuel, I would drive the wrecker over to their truck and tell them they either move or will be paying to get their truck back.
Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
Just give them a complementary pad lock or high security seal.

I've thought about that a time or two. Then I realized I've already lost money sitting there waiting for Fatty McFatty to get his double order to go and don't want to spend more money on padlocks.
A time or two, I was darn close to relieving myself on their truck, since they were keeping me from pulling up to go inside. But I don't want to be a registered sex offender, so I guess that's out, too.
There's got to be a way... -
Me I have never hauled double or triple, I also don't hog fuel island if I can't find a parking spot I go on down the road to another do it more times then not i know 100% i have not nor will I ever be on those ramps parked for my break sleeping or 30mins I dont need some lawsuit or knowing I essentially killed someone because they dumb and hit back my truck. I do think they need universal this I am tired these lazy drivers next they gonna want a valet parking. I put them up there near those people who put those yellow bottles out at stores like Walmart front and then complain they can't park there anymore. Some sick lazy truckers out there guess what happens when parents don't spank them with a belt to tell them do something, shoot I back talked I would be trying outrun that belt real quick or flying scandals I swear them scandals would magically appear out nowhere hit me.Tug Toy, blacklabel and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -

i love the guy who pulls behind a truck parked in a fuel lane when theres 5 other pumps open, you get twice the idiot for your money lol
650cat425, Speed_Drums and Buckeyes614 Thank this. -
A few weeks ago I waited. And I waited. And I waited. Forty minutes, and a little millennial came out, I was leaning against the hood of my truck, watching to see what someone that would do this looks like. He had on baggy striped shorts, a t shirt, and ladies slide type shoes. He waved, as if this made it all ok. I’m not in favor of the boot on the wheel, but, rather, a boot in the as s. Or better yet, how about we make them stand with legs spread just a little, facing the rear of their trailer, and we take turns whipping them with a horse whip?
