I wouldn't work for anyone if I didn't get OT after 40. Thats nothing but the owner cutting corners to save money and if they cut corners with your pay then they will cut corners with your life.Coffey and Lumper Humper Thank this.

I heard Amazon pays that. I heard.
Coffey, andhe78 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
I don't know if all Amazon dc's operate the same way but in Tucson / Phoenix they have what they call T.O.M. 'Transportation Operations Management' . These are the people you see driving the actual Amazon company day cabs , yard hostlers , check you in/out at the gate , taking out garbage , etc . They seem to rotate their duties
An old co-worker I know loves the job and gets treated very well but he's lucky to gross $800-900 per week working 4 10 hr shifts
As far as the outside carriers /Fleet owners ; I don't know what they pay their drivers but that's not Amazon paying youLast edited: Sep 17, 2020

As a share holder with a fairly good stock price buy in, I can guarantee you Bezos is not the only one making money on Amazon. I will also say being a blue collar worker there would not be my idea of a good job if someone has marketable skills.Coffey and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

That's fair. The owner and all of his stock buddies all get paid. Lol

Roughly 3 years ago after reading numerous articles about Amazons plans to be a competitor to UPS and Fred Ex I decided I wanted a piece. Knowing what I know about the transportation industry I could see a lot of room for growth and future profits once the infrastructure was built. They have been building their networks somewhat similar to Buster, ground and air. By late fall they will surpass DHL as the third largest air freight carrier. It happened to be good timing for me as what I paid $800 a share for has roughly quadrupled in that 3 year period. I feel so confident in their long term success that I doubled down recently at $2500 a share for another sizable buy. It is down from record high currently but it is still over $3000 a share. Amazon is very likely to be similar to Berkshire Hathaway, if you hold it long enough it will make you a lot of money. *Past performance is no guarantee of future performance* But I am betting that it is.Coffey and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

As long as you know when to get out. Every bubble eventually bursts, and Amazon is definitely a bubble.
