I need an APU. Idling an emissions truck is going to cause it to have emissions problems. Whether it is mine or a companies truck, I don't want to deal with it.

I never had an apu I just idle the company I’m with has no problem with it and I e never been bothered by the law

I wouldn't mind running reginal around Too-lee without an apu. East of the Rockies or down to L.A. then no, not really.
