Haha, yeah cab over Pete used to be a Mayberry truck. Mayberry is out of business now they were a tanker outfit out of Geauga County, Ohio. I think Khnuel brothers (or how ever they are spelled) took them over.

Been kinda AWOL for the past month or two. Took on a shift that I had no business taking. 0200-1800 Mondays, then 0400-1800 for the rest of the week. It was the "money train" shift that pretty much left me to be able to do nothing else. Come Saturday all I could do is sleep, then Sunday be back in bed by 5 PM to get back to work at 2 AM Monday.

I think I finally hit this wall of tunnel vision. It's this constant work work work, but all the important crap I used to care about, but no longer found time for still happened. I just was not able to be there for that. Missed soccer goals from my kid, day drinking sessions with my buddy #52, and a bunch of people unfriended me on FB cause I forgot to wish them a happy birthday or something.

Not sure where I am going with this.. but I guess this is one of those jobs where you can get everything right, make all your deliveries and pickups, be safe and professional; but the moment you clock out, your tank runs on fumes and the couch is just as good of a place to collapse than anywhere else.

Anyway, I hope everyone else is doing well. I'll try to drop in more often now there I am working more sane hours.

Not every Monday, but probably more often than not. They have us deploying our 2 hour extension safety chute to glide back home. The paychecks did rock though. But it's not for everyone.

welcome to food service (well pre-covid/government idiocy anyway). Guys making 2 grand plus a week running 6 days, but literally nothing to do but take 34 off and restart early monday morning. (of course they were all buried in debt, i could never figure that out. What are you spending your money on? You're never home?)
