Yeah, you cant fight a warning... And the DATAQ system is a joke... Most of the time the DATAQ Appeal goes right back to the officer who gave the warning or his direct supervisor... Do you really think he is going to over turn his own or his subordinates warning???

Give me a ticket that I can fight in court.

Just to be clear about something, getting a citation or warning with an inspection, doesn’t change the inspection. You can get a citation with the inspection go to court and win and the inspection is still going to go to the Feds. The two things are different. And I agree DATAQ is a joke.

Unfortunately, that's a big LOL, It is also most likely why no state citation. The problem is even just one MPH over, as far as the Feds are concerned it's a violation and will get the carrier and the driver dinged. I do wish that that entire system could get changed.

There are no CSA points assigned for 1-5 over.

Besides 70’s “construction zone” the truck speed in IN is 65 (60 in cities and congested areas). Depending on where you were at on 64 the mph is generally 65 there. Were you going 76 to 79 downhill?

I don’t know about your truck, but mine has an engine brake and a brake pedal.

probably wanted to make sure the points stuck, you know “safety”

I can see 10+ over, but 37 in a 35 could be something as stupid as new vs old tires on the speedo causing the difference.....

Most truckers have an attorney service on retainer so law enforcement management is encouraging their rank and file officers out there to issue warnings to truckers using the CSA procedure. There is no opportunity to go to court and therefore the officers stay on their beat rather than taking time to sit in court testifying. The bonus of a warningis that it is virtually unbeatable. DataQ procedures require the accused to send the warning right back to the exact same officer who wrote it; the chances of an officer striking down their own speeding warning is less than zero.

How about a warning for „no thru trucks” violation from NC? How many points is that going to cost me?
