I can remember working for Knight and my dispatcher calls and starts talking to me about bonuses. I finally told her to stop wasting my time because they weren’t attainable anyway.

S&S had major issues with PeopleNet and told them to get lost. We’re now using GeoTab tablets. Much much better.

I wish Creaffer would tell Peoplenet to pound sand...I have never liked Peoplenet.

Kinda got testy with my A.M. here lately. Yesterday, just coming out of the Gorge, they sent me a load. Pick up 100 miles from Louisville on Wed, drop any time Friday in North Platte... 1100 mile run, SWEET!!!! But 10 min later they pulled it and gave me a Louisville to Jonesboro run....:biggrin_25516:. I pull in to the Strawberry Plains Peelot, and proceed to get irritable. My DM claims that the times were pushed back, and the load was no longer productive....like a 375 mile run is any less productive? She swore they would get me more miles after that before the payroll cutoff.(which is Friday nite). So, I drop my load in Louisville, go to a truckstop. Get up this morning, and as I am sitting at the dock getting loaded, I had to call to get a check for pallets. While on the phone, I get another Crete line calling in...then a preplan. Turns out, they're having me swap my 375 mile run (that delivers in the morning) for a 240 mile run that has to deliver tonight by 1800.... irritable, round 2...not only that, the planner that was setting this up made it sound like the driver was already at the truckstop waiting for me...so, once I got loaded, I haul balls down to the truckstop only to find that, he is still an hour away... irritable, round 3. We swap loads, and a couple hours away from my customer, a pplan... A high priority load going to Ellenwood, GA for Fri. But I keep getting these dang reminder messages about this being a high priority load....yada yada..I finally say, one message is enough, I get the hint, quit nagging me. She messaged that it's a automated message, and she can't turn it off. I tell her that they need to quit nagging us with all these constant reminders and just hire someone from the office to come out here and hold our hand and tell us how to do our jobs since we obviously can't do it without guidance from management. I tell her, if this nanny crap keeps up, I won't make New Years.

Then, 20 min later I get a message from her saying I have been graduated to getting my own full time AM (she was just the on-boarding AM)...then he called to introduce himself...and I can see already, we aren't gonna get along. He explains how he WANTS me to run my hours and my truck....I can see, the next couple months are NOT gonna be pleasant.:biggrin_25510:

Yeah, I tried to suppress my doubts about breaking my own rule on returning to a previous company...but the gut knows what the brain forgets.

Sounds like the last dispatcher I had at Transport America, right before I told them to get bent.

That’s the real issue with mega’s. They are so used to dealing with newbie’s they can’t handle a driver that can get the work done without being micromanaged. Still hope it works out. Hate to see you bail this early. That doesn’t look good either.

While I was fueling in Corbin yesterday. I started talking to an MBM driver who had a lot of good things to say about them...until he told me how much they pay. Top starting pay was $0.48/mi...and he thought that was good money.
