Guess not...when I got home, I back up to within a couple feet of a telephone pole which marks the edge of my property, and it's a slight uphill back...I think my 15 yr old step-grand daughter learning to drive a manual transmission would be smoother...these transmissions suck worse than the old ultrashift from years ago.

must be, because the skipping gears stuff sucks too since they lock it in Economy mode. With an empty trailer there were times it tried skipped 2 gears, then just sat there trying to accelerate until it either gradually built momentum or I forced a downshift. The mDrive would try that sometimes, but within a second or two, it realized it needed to be in a lower gear and downshift itself.

I was shocked when folks were saying here you would like the DT12 better over the mDrive/iShift. I’ve driven both although much more experience with the iShift, Detroit’s version just doesn’t compare. The 2 foot backing experience reminds me of the Eaton Ultrashift

Semantics. Whether it's mechanism is hydraulic with a torque converter or pneumatic shifting a manual with a clutch, the end result is machine is doing the shifting.
