if you can't drive an old truck into california that's not carb compliant, how would i buy and old truck in california and drive it out and never go back to that state?

I don't think it's a problem for you to drive it out of the state they just don't want you driving it up and down I-5 running it as a commercial Enterprise.

I know of a few that run old Trucks out there. They claim it’s not enforced. Even met one Guy who lived there, just had his old Cummins overhauled. Says he was questioned once at the scale. Told them he would call his wife and leave it there. They let him go. Lol. BS? Maybe. I believed him.
