The best explanation I've heard about logging as on duty not driving vs off duty or sleeper when you're in the truck but not driving is this: if you can leave the truck and go fishing it's not on duty not driving. However if you can't leave the truck then it's on duty.
I think I got chocked up on that part....must.... and the fishin part... LOL!

That's great nana, I will remember that one
Good to see you!! Denise

hiya Denise! I like the new name.
well monkey........I'm a letter of the law girl. I actually stay in the sleeper when I log sleeper. I log it when I get out of the sleeper and go in to the lil girl's powder room, I log what I do. I have NO desire to pay some stupid fine for a log violation nor do I wish to go to jail and become the kissiepoo of some hairy woman named brunhildaThe Challenger Thanks this. -
ok girlfriend, I am feeling your "menopausal" pain
Go easy on that poor feller

metoo, tell me I don't have to log how long I am in the latrine though

*accidently hits monkey man with my pointy stick as I turn to speak to Denise*
No no, you log "break" Look, you do this to save your time. If it takes 15 minutes to get out of the truck, go in somewhere, potty and get back to the truck then if you potty 4 times a day and don't log off your driving or "off duty not driving" time you've used an hour of time you can work or drive. It's the same with eating. Log it and save your driving and work time. -
I will Nana, it makes sense because the time you take for those pit-stops can add up. Thank you for sharing your wisdom wit me
Hope that wasn't a pointy cattle prod, oochee ouchee!
