I know right, it’s because Paccar (same thing happens on 680’s) cheaps out on the grade and thickness of the plastic used.
$170K truck but hey let’s cut every corner we can for cost... I just wish someone would convince them to hire someone with automotive experience for their interiors. It’s like they don’t even try to care about catching interior rattles during vibration testing. I know fleets are the target customers but geeze...

I'm having flashbacks of my early years in trucking, back when I worked at the chicken plant. They have me picking up eggs, right from the factory complex (chicken houses and egg sorting facility in rural IN). The odor of chicken poop brought back memories I would have preferred not remember, mostly because hauling live chickens means you get pooped on (literally) a lot.

88 Alpha, Dale thompson, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Switching trucks might be good ...but there's also that chance..of getting something much worse...kind of like switching jobs over and over...I'd rather make do with the evil I know and make it work....nothing will ever be perfect...be it job or daily life

Had this KW for a year now....thankfully with zero problems so far...not an automatic , no lane departure system...and never had to use opti idle...since it doesn't have automatic engine shutdown
