Just a suggestion I would make if you’re in the habit of “sky candy”.

Take a roughly 2’x2’ piece of 1/2” steel plate. Miter cut a few some pieces of pipe in different diameters about 18” or so long and weld them to the plate. That will give you a nice “launching pad” that’s s bit safer than those little cardboard tubes. Include a 1/2 piece for your bottle rockets.

But it’s fun using a glove for bottle rockets lmao! One Christmas or New Years my buddy and I used bare hands, had good timing letting those go!

Well, you’re still young, so allow me to impart this bit of fatherly... or perhaps big brotherly... advice.

What you’re describing as “good timing” is actually tempting fate, and feel free to ask any of us how that works out in the long run.

Fate can be a very harsh mistress who dislikes temptation.

Hahaha well they’re supposed to ignite and fly at least 50 feet before blowing up, but what I was referring to is holding it when it ignites and all those sparks getting on your hand

I thought you were telling me how to make a ####in bomb in the other post at first, “weld steel plates” :biggrin_25523:

Consider putting a partial back on the shelf side from the bottom horizontal to the second or third shelf (whichever gets all the way back) and at least 4 nails down each side and 3 top &bottom. At least 3/16 plywood will stiffen that right up.
