My licensed state is Florida. I was cited in Tennessee. Got me for not stopping at the mandatory break check area. My question is do I hire an attorney in Tennessee? And do I have to report it to Florida or something like that?
What to do when given a citation in another state?

How come you didn’t stop in the posted mandatory brake check area?

Depending on the outcome of the ticket, you may or may not have anything to report, but typically, no you don’t have to report anything to your home state. Your employer will need to be informed if you do get a citation that sticks.
What are they trying to do to you for not stopping at a mandatory brake check area?Eddy632 Thanks this. -

Blowing a brake check is just ignorant or lazy.
Needs to pay more attention or it’ll be a short career.

The last time I pulled into a mandatory brake check area (which was the last time I encountered one), three trucks blew past me without stopping while I was there checking my brakes.
