So how is that Walmart trucking job working out? I hear they don't want you talking on a cell phone at all, not even with a head set. I hear that they check your phone to see if you used it while driving. Are these rumors true? I also heard that they have driver facing cameras.

And what about the office people aggravating the driver? This trucking industry is a trip. Have you ever been upset with the company that you work for? Your nice and respectful when you complain but nothing changes. These companies act like driver's are a penny for 24.

I've been here 12 years and never missed the miles to get the annual raise. I've also gotten the quarterly bonus every quarter it was offered, so you can definitely do it. I'm not one that stays out for extended periods regularly. My experience is you almost have to try to not get the annual raise, as I've usually got those miles by the end of November.

Well, your experience is different from mine. When I finally made top milage pay I had no reason to complain about qualifying for another raise. When I reached my next anniversary they dropped the miles down to 115,000. I did less than 110,000 miles. When I said something I got the miles when I didn't say anything the miles fell short. I made sure I made them aware of that fact.

In 12 years, my worst year was around 125k, my best was a little over 130k. I know drivers that do more, but I don't do a lot of extended stays on the road. I think most years I have somewhere right around 55 days at home with my time off and vacation days

first, off I am referring to driving and having it face you not downtime, even I cover it up at night and play music at night sometimes when I am OTR it's with my woman and me. 2nd off if you value your privacy you should lose any modern TV seeing newer TVs can be hacked because they connected to the internet and they can see you through it even a former FBI told me it's not so far fetched they could be looking into peoples homes that way too that aside if they want see my ### they welcome to I guess ill blow them a kiss, as for driving behind the wheel they won't catch me doing any bad habit aside from me in pajamas sometimes driving.

Yep, Crete did the forced sleep study to me, basically destroyed my trucking career by saddling me with a device that prevents me from sleeping well. (CPAP) and making it illegal to drive without it. I dream about nights I can get sleep by not using it, but I am forced by law to use it and drive tired. Unless you really match the profile of a person who's snoring and waking up tired, I recommend you just walk away if they order it.

I think they are doing it bc of high driver death rates, but they hire a lot of seniors, and drive around the clock ever changing schedules, that's probably the true cause.

I'm with you on the forced C-PAP racket, but I don't quite understand how the company would be able to tell if you are actually using it each time you sleep. Does your company watch you in the sleeper???
You claim that the device is actually causing you to lose sleep and you are driving tired because of it. What about trying to go without it?
If you feel better rested sleeping without it, just don't use it, and if anyone asks, tell them you do.
It's also possible that perhaps you have some other condition that affects your sleep patterns, and the doctors are so eager to over diagnose sleep apnea and hand out CPAP machines like candy, that they may have missed some underlying condition.
Perhaps a second opinion would be worth some thought...

I've never used a CPAP machine so I don't know the specifics but they have data recorders that record to I guess a USB flash drive that the driver is required to turn in to the company on a regular basis so they can check for compliance to make sure that you're using it. I've seen drivers doing this at the terminal before.

I had a friend that Crete forced to take a sleep study. She said they told her not to take any kind of sleep aid. She said she took 2 sleeping pills. This put her into a deeper sleep and she passed. She has the thick neck and she's short and fat.
