Starting Career With USA

thats what i did.my trainer was not a big believer in personal hygiene or appearance.to put it nicely he was dirty

 

Hey everyone. I'm starting my career with USA Truck next month. Going to Vandalia OH. From what I've read on here, it's not a very clean place. I'm sure they have me staying in a motel. But can someone give a little more info about the training there? How much money should I take, stuff like that. Thanks alot.

 

Can someone tell me what kind of strength/agility test USA requires at Vandalia?

 

You have to be able to bend over and grab your ankles without complaining! Lol...

 

Well I failed lol.

 

$500-600 in the bank, $40-80 in your pocket?
(I think the basic ATM account is $500 that's why)
The hotel has breakfast, they bring samichez to the class durring lunch, you've got a 1/4 mile hike to dinner.

1.) Kroger's market for the budget-concious,
2.) Subway/McDonald's/Skyline Chilli/Burger King/Arby's/White Castle for fast food
3.) Buffalo Wild Wings/TGI Friday's/Bob Evans/Texas Roadhouse on the high end
4.) Steak & Shake if you want a REAL hike (crossing the interstate)

Don't drink booze. Drug tests on Monday. Physicals on Tues (avoid sugar). Lectures all 4 days.

About 10% don't make it through Orientation, the real shake out happens with Trainers and when you have your own truck. The life ain't for everyone.

 

If you can't pee in a cup, your aim's not good enough to back a trailer.

 

im leaving for usa truck c1 dec 28 have my cdl but still have to take the class

 

I didn't go through C1, I came abord with a free and clear paid off CDL. Might wanna read the fine print on the student loans. I've heard some tales,,,,

 

So for a young 20 yr old about to get his cdl looking for a descent company to work for in georgia USA truck would be one of those companies?
