I was going to ask for supporting documentation on that... but I won’t challenge the better half... ;-)

I get a feeling freight is backing up a little bit... my “get me almost home” load was a “Hot Tater” as well... since we didn’t have hard plans for home time this weekend, I got approval from my Real Boss to offer to stay out another week... they thanked me for the offer but sent me home anyway since they already had it pre planned... wish I had known earlier so I could have offered earlier. I know they sent out a request for drivers to come out early if they wanted to but that was a few weeks ago.

They say customers are begging us to pull more loads and in new lanes, looks like we’re overbooked already. I guess too much freight is a good thing.

MidWest_MacDaddy and Vic Firth Thank this.

And I thought yesterday sucked! Got over to the pick up in Edwardsville and wait 1.15 hours just to get up to the gate, only to be told my load that was supposed to load yesterday hasn’t even been staged yet, and that they don’t have any space to drop my empty. So I leave, call dispatch, after about 30 minutes they find me a broker load 40 miles away going to SD. I bust my arse to get over by the appointment time, only to be told when I check in that the load canceled AKA(someone agreed to haul it cheaper). So here I sit waiting for dispatch to point me on a new direction. If this is what 2021 looks like, I’ll take 2020. And Biden hasn’t even been sworn in yet. FML!

You might be better off not going to SD. They're expecting a blizzard in that area...gonna be a mess up there.

So I heard, they have me picking up a supposed preloaded trailer in the morning in Wright City, Missouri and dropping at our Fremont yard.

Fought the blizzard up from KCMO up to Fremont this morning, luckily I had 42k in the box. That wind was no joke! Got the truck serviced, and did some laundry. I will pick up a load in Lincoln tomorrow going to Ellabell, Georgia for Monday morning.
