Finance. Save money for repairs.
-
Ok thank you for the advice.and how often do you need to put DEF in a truck
-
Pay for it outright and have a big chunk of change in the bank for repairs.
If you need to ask how often you need to put DEF in you may be ahead of yourself a bit. That or you are trolling.SoulScream84, Coffey, Caterpillar Cowboy and 13 others Thank this. -
No I am not trolling it ben a long time sens if ben in a truck so the def is all new to me
Coffey and staceydude Thank this. -
Depends on def tank size, I keep my def tank full, every other fill up, i figure it keeps moisture out vs hot/cold condensation.
But that’s my thoughts.Coffey, D.Tibbitt and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Def usage correlates with fuel usage. You can expect anything from 150mpg to 250mpg.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
And I’m in the pay cash crowd, with a good amount set aside for what might happen.

Buy a truck with a factory remaining warranty
Midwest Trucker Thanks this. -
You're going to get 10 different answers here. Paying cash is okay, except you have no writeoff and will pay more in taxes. If you go with an old cheapie cash, you'll pay in repairs. You can't win. I'd finance rather than have all your eggs in the truck. That could be disastrous.
Coffey, 86scotty, 77fib77 and 1 other person Thank this.
