Load may be ready early. The OM would be REALLY pleased.

Your take is factually inaccurate, much like LTD about winter highway equipment. Most "winter conditions" in Texas are hours of a freeze, maybe 1-2 days. The storm that is hitting them now is more reminiscent of storms that the PNW gets. 14"+ of snow, coupled with ice storms. The preparation for these kind of events are cost prohibitive when it's years, or decades inbetween.

I'll also add that the length of time we're experiencing these sub freezing temps has been extraordinary. And this particular issue has been the game changer for us. Three solid days of single digit and teens to low twenties for day time highs. Plus, crazy people trying to drive on ice covered roadways that were never plowed.

    Well.
A water pipe busted in the wall in utility room, for no apparent reason.
Wasn’t on, and a space heater on 68 in there.
Guess who got to freeze while under tree limbs with a shovel trying to find the water meter because the little flag was buried too.

So. a little over 2 hours outside with a shovel and found it.
I think someone moved it closer to the tree than I remember.

    Reached inside, Snatched arm out.
Copperhead snake laying there cold and lonesome.
Had to whack him with a shovel.

Down in this end of the state we have 6 to 8 inches on the ground and forecast is 1-2 inches tonight and 3-5 inches tomorrow. -2 this morning. Won't be as cold tonight, maybe 15 then there is a warm up coming.

I went into town today and the road getting to the interstate was slick but I 30 was mostly dry.

Should go above freezing on Friday and by Tuesday be in the 60s. Time to go fishing.

I thought turbine water is kept in a closed loop. It has a heat exchanger with regular water.

Is this some of Sheila's handiwork, or store bought?

That's my vote, with a blueberry waffle if available, pecan if not.
