Not negotiable, but it's based on experience and the number of jobs in the last 5 yrs. I have almost 30 years OTR and started with Shaffer at .56 4 months ago, (recruiter said .57, but it ended up being .56 for some reason). Then we all got a .02 cpm raise, and drivers like the OP and I that stay out over 14 days, we got another .01 on top of that...the Shaffer side pays .02 cpm more than the Crete side because it's refrigerated. The Shaffer quarterly safety/performance bonus mileage and yearly annual raise mileage is lower than Crete's as well. At Shaffer, 28,800 in a quarter gets you into bonus territory and 109,000 in a year get you a penny raise. Crete is 30,000 for quarterly and I don't know what for a yearly raise.Last edited: Mar 19, 2021
