Company DOT physical

You are not understanding what the FMCSA considers "doctor shopping". If you for some reason don't think a ME is right with something on a physical you have the right to a 2nd opinion. It does not become "doctor shopping" if you are careful to make sure that 2nd ME knows about the first physical. If the FMCSA were to happen to see that you have 2 physicals done close together esp if that 1st one was a short one they will look at both. If they see "doctor shopping" they will toss all your physicals. Once the state gets word of this tossed physical you will have so long to get another. DO NOT "doctor shop". The FMCSA will not just toss a physical willy nilly. Just be truthful when getting a physical and you will have no problems.

 

I am aware that this thread has been dead for several years.. but wanted to throw in an update anyhow. I just got my med card renewed since my original one was fixing to expire. I didn't have any issues with getting a renewal since I still have the evaluation from 2019. Unfortunately, it appears that the guidance on ADHD was updated in december of 2019, so I no longer qualify for a 2 year card I am limited to 1 year maximum thanks to the diagnosis. However, that was certainly a lot less trouble than swift gave me back in 2019.
