I-40 AR/TN bridge closed until further notice

I sure hope so. If this were in, oh say, ILL-ANNOY, it'd be July... of 2022. Maybe.

 

Actually in Illinois it would actually get fixed in a hurry. Over budget,but it’s done!

 

The 55,155,412 detour only adds about an hour, so why sit in a 4 hour back up?

Read the last sentence. That's one long bridge, runs from North Carolina to California. Where do they get these news? writer's?

East bound will open Saturday evening ahead of schedule. West bound, set to open Aug 6th, may also open earlier.

The West Memphis jungle will be back in business full blast from both highways.

 

I have managed to miss that whole area this entire time...not sure how because I use to come thru there all the time...just dumb luck I guess... hopefully they did it right this time. Of course with all the extra workload the other bridge had to absorb, let's hope it won't have to be shut down and fixed.
