Mortar shells are $10 per inch of diameter. Use PVC pipe with a piece of 2by (2x4 if 3-4" shell). Use deck screws at 4 points around the base. You are better off to bury said tube in sand inside a 55 gallon drum. Mortar tubes should be the diamet of shell x ten inches. So a 3" shell should have a 30" tube and so on. Make sur tube is set on an additional board when burying it in barrel, 75% of tube must be burried. PVC is recommended over steel, as steel will become shratnel. PVC literally turns into a beach ball if shell goes off in the tube.

I do as well. Its called tain. and temps below 80F. We dont roast like the rest of the countr normally. Its why people come here to get away from the heat of down south.

My sister in law and her daughter and 9 year old great grandson are here visiting. The sorry amount of fireworks they came back with yesterday for over $50 is terrible. Many defective. felt sorry for the little guy but the days of me going out and spending hundreds of dollars on fireworks are long gone.

There are some in these parts that shouldn't mess with tannerite either. but they do and sometime they do some experimental mixing. One of those "Hold my beer" times. Houses shake a mile away.

most of the retailers had these at $300 per pack (double last year because of shortages) but the tubes are included....

    Well.
I hurt feelings again this day.

I’ve done got up, fixed breakfast like 3.5 hours ago.
Teenager gets up, wants to know what’s for breakfast, when I informed breakfast was over, that’s what happens when you get up at the crack of noon, I got this deer in headlights look.
Even back in the day when I was a kid, staying up til midnight-0100 playing...Ok I’ll say it Atari..then being up at 0500 to catch the bus at 0545.
I didn’t sleep in class or stay in bed all day.
He didn’t like hearing, “There’s bologna, ramen, or Frosted Flakes in there, it’s fix your own, eggs if you know how to cook, or just put in a bowl, stir up, lil pepper/milk and microwave scramble.

That’s another thing, I could cook my own food as a teenager too.
And had an after school job from 1630-2000 sometimes 2100.
I’m starting to think it’s these child labor laws.. to much protection.
Then when they get 18 they’re not protected and have to work...
    The future looks grim.
