A dorm size fridge will be just fine on a 1,200
banjer picker Thanks this. -
I had the biggest galanz dorm fridge and no issues. Go 110 over 12v always.
flood Thanks this. -
Why do these companies install 1200W inverters? That's almost worthless for anything except a dorm fridge and TV. I don't know if you can even find a coffee maker that is under 1200W.

the 12v "lunch box" cooker is great I used one for yrs.
had the 12v coolers also. if you keep the vents and the fins on the heat sink clear, (cans of compressed air), they will last 1 yr or so.
buy another with your truck stop rewards points and it's cheap.
don't buy a Yeti cooler ,way over priced. get a Canyon at least half the price or a Pelicangentleroger and JC1971 Thank this. -
Back in the day, I had bought a thermal electric cooler at Walmart, and I bought the warranty. Just before the warranty was up, I took it back and said it quit working. The. Fan was getting noisy/etc. Got a new one, no questions asked. Before that one quit I ended up going to work for a company that provides refrigerators in the trucks. That’s really the way to go. I will say too, I have cooked a lot of meals in the 12v lunch box cooker. Don’t waste your time with the 12v coffee pot, unless you want to wait an hour or so for coffee. I run a regular 4 cup Mr Coffee on my inverter. Rarely buy coffee at Truck Stop.
gentleroger Thanks this. -
If you DC about company policy I have a brand new 2k watt with the inline fuse and 10 foot cables for $100, whole setup you'd need for anything powered AC

sorry for the late reply, last week was busy as hell. so i found out that the inverter was a 1500 watt, not a 1200 after i researched the model number. i purchased a 1.7cu inch mini fridge from walmart and it works good. i cranked the fridge to it's coldest setting but i think it was pulling more than the inverter could handle, so i put it on one up from the lowest setting and it's been happy. so glad i can store water and some food in my truck so i don't have to rely on truckstops. $25 a day for food and drinks adds up in a hurry.
flood Thanks this.
