I tried the silicone seals, or poly. They last less and leak more than rubber. I just spit on mine. But its my truck and trailer. So there is that. Doesn't gross me out.

Ive always just spit on them... But even that doesnt prevent sticking if connected for multiple days or in extremely hot temps.

Try silicone based grease. It wont swell or breakdown the rubber . anything petroleum based is what u want to stay away from

I have been dealing with this lately as well, I just pull them apart and stuff them back in. Always a good time to give them a once over to see if they need to be replaced. I only spit on them if they don't want to seal.
