Best liquid polish for aluminum tanks and wheels?

I’ve never tried gasoline. An older boss of mine had some sort of acid that turned the aluminum white and made it easier to polish out. Does gas turn it white?

Acid is for when there’re extremely dirty. The process for that is acid, gasoline(opens the pours) then polish(lots of elbow grease). Otherwise, gasoline and polish. If your using a machine buffer, scratch all above.

 

I’ve been lucky enough to have never needed a machine. Most everything I’ve been in that needed polish was either well taken care of before I got in it or it was new...ish.

 

You just had to rub it in…… didn’t ya …….

Absolutely not - I was taught to buy polish installed. Actually, I did rub the stacks a bit.

Stacey came to the house and grabbed a couple of step boxes. Called my polishing guys and they did the rest. It was in pretty good shape.

Aaaaah - you got me. My AC just quit so I’m not going to do a wheel or a tank just for the aluminum polish photo!

Never heard of using gasoline.
