FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Me personally haven’t had any problems yet. They been very good in handling those situation.

 

It’s because of that idiotic ag check station right at the line…i came through there one evening and it was bumper to bumper from ag check station to beyond primm.. beyond ag check traffic was light

I forgot about that detail. One time last month I went through and had the fun of dealing with about 70 crazy motorcycles speeding everywhere.

 

State of Nevada according to a news story is that they are telling California to do something about it because they’re getting fed up with it..if i was Nevada,I wouldn’t hold my breath for California to do anything..lol

In all my years at this, it’s nice to have dispatch that figures you out to the point of non communication. I will go a couple weeks without hearing from Ben, usually it’s me calling him for something. He really is the best.

 

There saying it’s going to take weeks before they open again.( I think months)
That broken section of I-70 is very impressive! You can see it was hit with great force.

At any other carrier, the extreme low level of communication would be a negative issue and Drivers would be complaining and rightfully so.

But not here, or at least not with Ben. (But I can’t imagine that he is the exception here but rather the rule.) One really gets the feeling they try to figure out each Driver as an individual (how/when they drive, locations that are important to them, etc) and then Plan around them. Which just blows my freaking mind.

The process just works and all that’s needed is minimal tweaks that occur with minimal communications.

Shops visits are smooth too. Just communicate “truck needs a shop visit” and boom it’s done. When you are at the Shop you really get the feeling that you are the priority. Almost as if you were the one writing the check.

nope, it’s trucking … and life… we adjust.
Nothing is perfect on this side of the sod.

but ya, been here just a little over a year now, I was planning on writing a Year in Review post, but I think I just did.

Summary: It’s a good place, with good people.
