All situations all different but if the facility allows you to stay on premises and has a yard dog then having some cash on hand makes all the difference in the world. Sometimes it's the shippers/receivers fault, sometimes it's on the driver. If you can't work it out, find somewhere to park before it becomes solely your problem.
Either way have cash on hand. It still solves alot of problems plastic can't.
Clock status question. Staging are to dock if 14 is expired?

for what it is worth, last year we went through an audit with the logs for one of the companies, I brought up this issue that worried me. One driver had 23 hours of on-duty, not driving time because the load was glass and the driver had to be there watching the unloading, well reality was he was in the sleeper for 6 hours sleeping.
so the auditor said when i showed him the logo, it is legal.
The driver can work as long as he wants, but he can’t drive beyond the 14. And if he worked any thing beyond 14, it is treated just as he worked 10, he has to do a 10 hour reset.tarmadilo and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -

Anytime I had this issue I just did PC. Noted private property move. Never heard squawk.
There ... problem solved.
